This campground is located in West Union, SC and overlooks Lake Keowee. The address is 777 Arvee Lane, 29696. All sites are level and pull thru. March 24 2021 | Uncategorized | No Comments » Silver in the City Rally April 15-18, 2021 Join us for a unique opportunity to park your Airstream on the streets of York, SC. (You can also choose a parking lot site if desired.) A pre rally kicks the event off on Thursday, April 15 so that on Friday, April 16 a ‘caravan’ of silver can pull into town and set up. This rally is in the heart of Downtown York and offers lots of interesting shops, restaurants, a bakery or two and historic buildings and homes within walking distance. This will be a BOONDOCKING rally so please arrive with a full tank of fresh water and empty waste tanks. We will have a dump site for departure on Sunday morning. The City of York police dept will assist in parking, which begins at 9:00 AM. Please let Terry know you are coming by April 14 so he has an accurate rig count. There is a planned OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, April 17 between 1:00 – 4:00, the street will be closed to auto traffic to facilitate foot traffic during the open house. There are no planned meals other than coffee and doughnuts on Sunday morning. The rally fee is a donation to a local charity. Contact Terry Montgomery for additional information. There were about 30 of us you shared in the fun and catching up. One of our unit’s newest member couples, the Carrs, joined us and quickly settled into the group. The weather was quite wet but no spirits were dampened. Donna Pollard brought a couple copies of our new 2020 directory. She has worked hard on it and it really showed. The photos that were sent in were a big hit! FYI: Your first thought that Fred must only have orange and white shirts is correct. NOT an optical illusion …… Sure was nice to see everyone. Palmetto Cove serves as a wonderful place for this rally. A creek to swim in and loads of room to roam around makes for a very successful weekend. It rained a bit but no spirits were dampened here.
